BÀI MẪU WRITING 11/2021. 7.0+ / IMITATION.
The tendency of human beings to copy one another is shown in the popularity of areas such as fashion and consumer goods.
To what extent do you agree?
Many individuals have a natural tendency to imitate one another in most fields. I completely agree that this is often true, particularly in industries such as fashion or commodities, though there are possible explanations.
On the one hand, there are explainable reasons why people follow others. If particular products, such as watches or clothing, was popular and linked with high-status individuals, they would be perceived as high-quality items and created a desire among people to possess them, they just follow the trend. Additionally, those things are typically inexpensive and usually have a huge supply. Adidas T-shirts, for example, are frequently mass-produced and are also available at a fair price, as well as easily obtainable at practically any department store in the world. As a result, consumers regularly come into contact with them, so their purchases are mostly just for convenience and benefit.
On the other hand, I also believe that imitating others is a natural human need to experience a sense of belonging in a large group. That is, humans have a natural urge to mimic the customs and behaviors of others in a social context in order not to feel isolated. For instance, the world-famous company Nike was founded on the basis of a community of sports and urban fashion enthusiasts in order to exploit this psychology. Their customers' confidence and self-worth might increase as a result of being perceived as part of a large community of like-minded people when they wear Nike gear. In other words, it is not necessary that natural threats that motivate individuals to imitate one another, but rather their desire to be accepted by other modern-day tribes.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that human imitation is most evident in areas such as fashion and consumption. This can be explained by individuals' psychological needs for acceptance or simply as a matter of rational convenience. (308 words)
