Tell me about your home town. What do people do in the evenings?

Many people socialize at the local market, particularly in the coffee shops. Because we don't have a beach or huge night clubs like some of the other towns, I'd say the market is the most important social gathering spot.

Let's talk about your plans for the future. What kind of career do you want to follow? 

I want to be a writer, but not for a large corporation; rather, I intend to work as a freelancer. That will be a challenge, but I believe my skills and personality are well suited for the job.

Tell me about your family. What do they do?

My parents are both factory workers. Life is tough for us since we barely make ends meet. Anyways, I believe my parents have a strong influence on me and my younger sister as they always motivate and push us to keep moving forward.

Tell me about your country's food and dishes.

For health reasons, Vietnamese people eat a lot of veggies, and we are also trying to eat less meat. So I believe it is good for us. We have a national dish, which is called PHO, that is similar to noodles but is white and made in a different process. Its recipe is a bit of a trade secret though. 

Where are you living at present?

I'm currently living with my parents and little sister. We want to be close to each other. It's a part of our culture. Also, buying a house is quite costly. I'm pleased with my home location because it is both convenient and quiet at night.

What do you like to do at weekends? 

My main activity these days is reading books, as I'm a member of a book club near my house. There are a lot of social activities going on at the moment. To be honest, I enjoy the social side as much as the books, so I really look forward to the weekends.
