Bài giải mẫu 7.0+ Task 2 Writing - Cambridge IELTS 16. Advertising.
In their advertising, businesses nowadays usually emphasise that their products are new in some way.
Why is this?
Do you think it is a positive or negative development?
Businesses
are progressively increasing their focus on innovation in their product
promotion. We can simply deduce that the purpose of this tendency is to
exploit consumers' purchasing mentality. Therefore, this, in my view, is a
negative development.
To begin with, corporations often prioritize
innovation as a means of promoting their goods in order to capitalize on
psychological traps that drive client demand. This strategy has a significant impact on consumer
psychology, as everyone wants to experience something new, unique, and
high-class. Smartphone
makers, for instance, tend to place a premium on hardware advancement, software
technology, and the upgrade or addition of cameras on their new phone
models. Thus, pitching a product as an innovative change can
increase client satisfaction and demand.
On the other hand,
there are negative exceptions to this. Certain manufacturers will use
deceptive advertising strategies, labeling their items with a whole
different twist in order to deceive consumers. This also often occurs
with large firms such as Apple or Samsung; which usually alter the appearance of their phones in order to manipulate
customers. Nevertheless, this method was shown to be dishonest over
time, and clients were seldom impressed. They were, on the contrary, fed up with
continuing to use the same products while claiming to be considerably
better. Consequently, many buyers eventually develop apathy and lose interest
in the goods.
In conclusion, the primary reason manufacturers prioritize innovation in their advertising is to appeal to
the psychology of their customers and boost their purchasing demands. However, some businesses make this a negative idea by abusing the trend to deliver deceptive
marketing. (264 words)
