BAND 7+ / LIBRARIES.

Libraries should focus resources of upgrading technological resources rather than preserving their physical collections.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some assert that libraries should direct their resources toward technological information rather than wasting them by maintaining physical references. I absolutely concur with this, owing to e-books' cost effectiveness and technology's concrete benefits.

On the one hand, e-books are substantially more affordable than conventional ones. This is because electronic books do not require investment in the printing process, raw materials, or shipping and storage costs, which makes them far less expensive compared to their paper counterparts. On Amazon, for example, a physical book may be priced at $28, but an e-book may be priced at $12, a reasonable 50 percent markdown. By capitalizing on this advantage, libraries can make the most of their budget by updating resources as well as lowering other additional fees so that even the less affluent segments of society can have access to a wide selection of books.

Furthermore, technology offers several significant support elements. One of these is the storage feature, which is tremendously beneficial since it allows numerous types of information, if not all, such as videos, documents, photos, and even data, to be safely preserved locally or online. Thus, by using electronic devices, diligent readers can easily search, manage, and access almost any type of available information considerably faster and more conveniently. They can stay current practically at any time and anywhere. In contrast, investing in physical collections is inefficient because of its limitations in terms of book resources, time-consuming in finding desired information, and subject to the libraries' opening hours.

In conclusion, I totally agree that libraries should prioritize technology investment due to its exceptional affordability and potential advantages. Governments might also finance libraries as an encouragement to apply more technology if possible. (281 words)
